Joining the Celestial Multiverse

At The Blackened Hand, Tethered Flesh was born from a deep appreciation for creative storytelling and shared worlds. This license allows creators to contribute to Tethered Flesh’s lore, stories, and atmosphere. Read through carefully, and if it all resonates with you, get creating.

1. Permissions for Fan and Third-Party Content

Under this license, you can develop and publish your own Tethered Flesh content, including adventures, expansions, and supplemental materials. However, some guidelines apply:

• Content Restrictions: You may not create content that promotes or includes:

  • Hate speech or targeted harassment against protected groups.

  • Any depiction of non-consensual sexual acts, child-related abuse, or glorification of abuse in any form.

  • In Tethered Flesh, the line between horror and exploitation should never blur.

• Use of Lore and Mechanics: You may freely use the Tethered Flesh lore, settings, and mechanics in your work. However, you cannot use any official art, design assets, or proprietary text without explicit permission.

• The above outline may be used to publish third-party content both commercially and non-commercially.

2. Assets and Logos

• You may not use the official Tethered Flesh logo, branding, or any art assets from The Blackened Hand without express permission. However, you must use the community logo provided below to indicate that your content is a fan-made expansion. Place this logo on the inside of the front cover in a clear and unobstructed location:

• Tethered Flesh and all related intellectual property, including characters, lore, settings, and mechanics, remain the exclusive property of Ada Hatton, The Blackened Hand.

• The Blackened Hand disclaims responsibility for any third-party content and is not legally associated with fan-made works under this license.

• The Blackened Hand and those associated will never attempt to claim third-party creations as their own.

• The following acknowledgment must be included in the final product:

  "[Your Work’s Title]" is a third-party creation for Tethered Flesh and is not affiliated with The Blackened Hand. This module exists as part of The Celestial Multiverse, utilising the Tethered Engine to represent non-canonical expansions within the Tethered Flesh world. 4. Tone and Purpose

• Tethered Flesh explores survival in a dark, haunting world. While body horror and moral complexity are integral to the setting, they should be treated respectfully, with the horror focused on the atmosphere rather than gratuitous exploitation.

• Fan creations should respect this tone, reflecting the bleak beauty of Tethered Flesh while keeping the boundaries around explicit or exploitative content clear.

5. Review Process for Third-Party Content

1. Optional Review for Third-Party Content:

   • Third-party creators are encouraged but not required to submit their work for review before sharing with the community.

   • Adhering to the guidelines in this license will help maintain the integrity and tone of Tethered Flesh. If uncertain, feel free to submit for optional feedback at ada@theblackenedhand.com.au or better yet, join The Celestial Nexus Discord server and share your creations with each other.
